GOOD OLD DAYS Episode 1

Just turned a few hundred pages of my life and I found myself holding my mother’s arms, waiting to write the entrance exam for grade 2 at Kendhriya Vidhyalaya. My dream school. I still remember the exam had major questions on hindi and English. The test results were announced in a week and I got through. My parents were so proud and I was so very happy. Oow at last I was getting out of that temporary hell which was St. Joseph School. Coming to think, it's so unfair to call the entire school as hell coz the original hell was my tamil class and the hell master was my tamil teacher, oh then I must say mistress!!! Poor little me, till that time I was brought up in northern part of India and the only means I learnt tamil was what my parents spoke at home. We suddenly got moved to south India due to an unexpected personal tragedy (I lost my darling brother—Pls no hard feelings, lets move on). Hmmm I had joined in the middle of the term, so there I was left in a complete confusion. I was completely lousy at tamil. To add fuel to my tamil teachers burning stomach, I was good at every other subject except her. Due to this she use to get screwed by the principal motti… That stupid woman never understood that it was not my fault and thus I lost my interest to learn that beautiful language. I regret now. U know what it’s never late to learn anything. Annnnnd now coming back to my dream school KV. It was located inside the air force station and was quite near from where I use to live. It was fun waiting for bus and chatting with new friends, sweet time hmm!!! Mom’s office was very close to my school bus stop, so I use to run into her place to trouble her. It was a company which manufactured mat and packing materials like plastic covers, strips and nylon ropes. It was quite huge and green place. I use to run around and see people at work. My mom’s job was to maintain the accounts and so on. She opted for this job just to put her thoughts away from my brother. I got good opportunity to see how mats were created. Cool na…. Back in my school I had many pretty days and made lot of friends. Though I don’t remember my first day at school, I can never forget my friends’ name. So there is lot to talk about neha, nithya, geethanjali, andriya, karthik, Antonio, geethu, the twin swathi and preethi, bubbly swathi, gokul and many more…. These are the ppl who made me realize the wonders of friendship… Since I have got lot to talk about them.. Rest in my next post…
My dreams will continue…

Its our city and we too are responsible!!!!

Hi people,

I think we are use to tolerating things and take it for granted. Yesterday I went to west tambaram in my bike. The traffic was heavy and not much light in the high way!!!! (That’s quite usual). As usual we had to take the subway to reach west tbm frm east. Its really good job done by the govt that a subway was built there. It saves lot of time for us. But I couldn’t find one single light lit in the subway. It was very hard to drive though it was only around 7 pm. I was able to manger from the light coming from the shops around, just like that guy in birbal’s story. To add up to this misery there was water stagnated in that subway. Its summer and I don’t know from were the water come. If there was so much water stagnated in the summer then I can’t imagine the rainy season. I think we all know how risky it’s to drive over slippery floor without light. It’s very sad that thousands of them are taking this risk everyday. So it’s equally important to maintain it. It’s our city and everyone is responsible. Not only this there r many other things that we can do to make our city the best place. We can just follow the rules and respect the other person driving beside us. Small things make big difference.
Take care
Keep smiling

WORDS

Encouraging words, Smiles they bring
Words that hurt, feel the sting
Hurtful words, pierce like a spear
Promising words, we hold so dear
Words of hope, deliver good cheer
Words of despair, cause many tears
Complimentary words, spoken so gently
Words that bring heartache, voiced intently
Words of sadness crush a sprit
Loving words, uplift souls
Words can be powerful, mouth them with more control
Kind-hearted words pass the love with thoughtfulness
Not so hard to utter, instead of words that digress

Life is short lets live and let others live...

Happy days

A small touching story mainly for professionals. ..

A man came home from work late, tired and irritated, to find his 5-year old son waiting for him at the door.
SON: "Daddy, may I ask you a question?"
DAD: "Yeah sure, what is it?" replied the man.
SON: "Daddy, how much do you make an hour?"
DAD: "That's none of your business. Why do you ask such a thing?" the man said angrily.
SON: "I just want to know. Please tell me, how much do you make an hour?"
DAD: "If you must know, I make Rs.100 an hour."
SON: "Oh," the little boy replied, with his head down.
SON: "Daddy, may I please borrow Rs.50?"
The father was furious, "If the only reason you asked that is so you can borrow some money to buy a silly toy or some other nonsense, then you march yourself straight to your room and go to bed. Think about why you are being so selfish. I work hard everyday for such this childish behavior."The little boy quietly went to his room and shut the door. The man sat down and started to get even angrier about the little boy's questions. How dare he ask such questions only to get some money? After about an hour or so, the man had calmed down, and started to think: Maybe there was something he really needed to buy with that Rs.50 and he really didn't ask for money very often. The man went to the door of the little boy's room and opened the door.
"Are you asleep, son?" He asked.
"No daddy, I'm awake," replied the boy.
"I've been thinking, maybe I was too hard on you earlier" said the man.
"It's been a long day and I took out my aggravation on you.. Here's the Rs.50 you asked for."
The little boy sat straight up, smiling. "Oh, thank you daddy!" He yelled. Then, reaching under his pillow he pulled out some crumpled up bills. The man saw that the boy already had money, started to get angry again. The little boy slowly counted out his money, and then looked up at his father."Why do you want more money if you already have some?" the father grumbled."Because I didn't have enough, but now I do," the little boy replied. "Daddy, I have Rs.100 now. Can I buy an hour of your time? Please come home early tomorrow. I would like to have dinner with you."The father was crushed. He put his arms around his little son, and he begged for his forgiveness. It's just a short reminder to all of you working so hard in life. We should not let time slip through our fingers without having spent some time with those who really matter to us, those close to our hearts. Do remember to share that Rs.100 worth of your time with someone you love.
If we die tomorrow, the company that we are working for could easily replace us in a matter of days. But the family & friends we leave behind will feel the loss for the rest of their lives. And come to think of it, we pour ourselves more into work than to our family.

Life is sweet...

A big hi to all the wonderful beings. What a splendid creation is human. So why do we get frustrated with this beautiful life that we have got. I have just created this blog to let out my ideas and appreciate the world that’s around me. There are so many tiny things in this world that we fail to notice. I don’t blame anyone as we don’t have an option. We got to rush up in this world to survive, but in our major attempts to win the race we fail to notice many small things that bring us joy. So I am choosing to slow down and notice the world around me and would also like to share the wonders that it can bring into our life. I would like to stop and look back into out entire evolution and bring out our existence. I will be extremely glad to share what I learn from the past and the present to shape a better future. I welcome any suggestion or opinion to make others realize the smile that’s scattered around them which they think its miles away from them. We have a short life and so much to do. So lets njoy this sweet life. Happy living ;-) .....
